BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP)—Estudiantes defeated Quilmes 1-0 on Sunday to remain undefeated after the first two weeks of the Argentine Clausura season.
Gabriel Mercado scored Estudiantes' only goal, which gave the defending Apertura champions six points in their first two matches. Quilmes has lost its first two.

In the day's other match, River Plate defeated Huracan 2-0 with a 50th-minute goal from Erik Lamela and another in the 59th from Pablo Ferrari.
