SAO PAULO (AP)—Ronaldinho left the soccer field struggling for words to describe his emotions after his debut for Flamengo and return to Brazilian soccer.
The 31-year-old forward helped Flamengo defeat Nova Iguacu at a packed Engenhao stadium in the Rio de Janeiro state championship on Wednesday. It marked his return to Brazilian soccer after 10 seasons in Europe.
Ronaldinho was cheered on by the more than 40,000 fans in the 1-0 win.
The two-time world player of the year says the experience was "one of the greatest thrills" of his life.
