Paddy Harkin was well known in the city A 46-year-old man will appear in court on Wednesday charged with murder and attempted murder following an incident at a house at Londonderry.The man will appear at Londonderry Magistrates Court charged with the murder of Paddy Harkin, 49, and the attempted murder of a Paul Mythen.
Mr Mythen, 39, remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Mr Harkin, who was originally from Creggan, was found dead at his flat on Bayview Terrace on Sunday.
