One feature that I like and proud of my SEO SearchTerms Tagging 2 plugin is the "Promote old post with no search engine traffic" feature. It really helps me making sure my old posts got indexed and traffic from Google.
The problem is, we cannot use this feature in personal blog and news type websites where publish date is important, due to its nature to re-publish those old blog posts, and make it available at the homepage.
Thankfully, yesterday I found a plugin that fix this problem nicely. It help us re-index the old posts, bring more traffic to those forgotten posts and can be used in any type of websites.
Instead of re-publish the old posts, this plugin uses the power of sidebar widget to automatically links to up to 25 internal blog posts and rotate the links to include all the blog posts over a period of time. As a result, it forces the search engine to re-index the old posts, give some link juice from the homepage to the inner page, and make visitors stayed longer in our blog.
However, that's only the tip of the iceberg. It also offers premium features like:
- Auto submits our post images to Flickr and Picasso, for additional backlinks and makes it available at Google Image Search.
- Auto submits the old posts to 5 RSS aggregators for more backlinks and makes sure it'll be indexed by search engines.
